The fastest and easiest way to license or renew is right here. You’ll create a profile for your pet, upload any necessary documents, process your licence registration, and receive purchase confirmations via email. Payment can be made using a credit card or Visa/Mastercard debit card. Each year, you just need to log in to your existing account and renew - it’s super easy!

Armstrong Details & Fees

Pet licences are required for all dogs living in Armstrong, BC. Licences are available for 1-year and lifetime terms. 1-year licences must be renewed prior to the expiration date. You will receive reminders from us about upcoming licence expirations via mail, phone, and email.

The City of Armstrong would like to celebrate the launch of DocuPet with a 50% discount on all new Lifetime dog licenses until June 30th. Lifetime dog licenses will return to regular pricing ($125) on July 1st.

A replacement tag is available for a $7.00 fee.

When licensing a Provincially Certified Guide or Service Dog for the first time, licensing must be done in person. Future renewals may be done online once the status is verified.

Failure to licence your pet may result in a fine.

Late fees apply 45 days days following licence expiration.

Residents of the City of Armstrong are allowed to own a maximum of 2 dogs.

Licences are required for all dogs over 6 months of age.

PROGRAM AND PARTNERSHIP

You may have entered your address incorrectly or we may not have your address in the address database for your community. Please double-check all spelling and ensure you are using the abbreviated form for your street type ex. St instead of Street. You may contact the City of Armstrong directly if you believe you reside within their jurisdiction but your address is not being accepted by the system.

LICENSING OPTIONS, DATES, AND LOCATIONS

No refunds are provided on licenses purchased regardless of circumstances.

All dogs over the age of 6 months are required to be licenced.

1-year licences remain valid for 365 days from the start date. If you renew prior to the upcoming expiration date, your pet's new licence will begin the day after expiration, not on the date of purchase. Please note that lifetime licences do not have an expiration date.

You may licence in person at Armstrong City Hall, located at 3535 Bridge Street, Armstrong, BC, V0E 1B0.

All existing licencing data from the City of Armstrong has been transferred on to the DocuPet system so your lifetime licence is still valid. You can choose to keep your existing tag or purchase a 'replacement tag' to get a new municipal tag.

Licences are required to be renewed prior to the expiration date each year.

FEES AND FINES

There are no senior rates to licence your pet.

Please visit Armstrong City Hall in person to see if you qualify for this rate. Once the team there verifies your designation, you will be able to renew online in future years.

For all online orders, a processing fee is applied on licence purchases at a rate of 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction.

No, there is no discount for licensing multiple pets. Each pet will be charged the appropriate licensing fee.

PET INFORMATION AND PROFILES

If you are moving please be sure to update your address by logging into your online account and navigating to your Profile Settings page. Even though you are moving you’ll still be able to keep your pet's tag and access your pet's online account. However, your current licence may not be valid in the new community you are moving to. Please get in touch with the pet licensing provider in the new community you are moving to in order to find out more information.

Get in touch with your licensing organization or our DocuPet customer service team to update your record.

We're sorry for your loss. You can update a pet's profile via your online account by editing your pet's profile and selecting 'Remove this Pet'.
